Donkey - bridging the gap between social networking and face to face contact at App Store analyse

Donkey allows you to find your friends in a crowded area. Using your phone book and Facebook contact list donkey will display any friends within a 1 km radius of your location on a map as a profile picture. If you tap once on a friends profile picture that person’s name and distance from you in meters will be displayed.
By tapping on that person a second time donkey will use geotracking technology to show their location by not only distance but direction as well. Just as a compass displays north your selected contacts direction will constantly be shown and as you get closer or further away the distance shown in meters will decrease or increase.

Meeting points can also be designated by pressing and holding a location on the map. Once selected you are given the opportunity to compose a short message and invite as many contacts as you like as long as they are within your radius or area. Once the meeting invite has been sent all invitees will receive a notification where they are given the option to accept or decline the invitation and all persons that have been invited have the ability to see who is or isn’t going to attend

When someone wants to add you to donkey you will receive a notification and must grant them permission to be added to their list and vice versa

If you would like your contacts not to be able to see your location you can simply turn your location off in the settings menu or shut donkey down completely from running in the background.
