Schon bei der Erklärung in der App, elektromagnetische Felder würden durch elektrostatisch aufgeladene Objekte hervorgerufen, die gesundheitsgefährdend sein könnten, musste ich sehr lachen. Dann wird im Text ansatzlos zu einer "magnetischen Abbstrahlung" (sic!) gewechselt - ja was denn nun? Angeblich misst die App einen Wert in Mikrotesla. Das wäre dann die magnetische Flussdichte. Was der Wert mir sagen soll, ist reichlich ungewiss, zumal etliche Messungen hier Werte unterhalb dem des Erdmagnetfelds liefern - das scheint hier also ausgefallen zu sein. Geht man in die Nähe einer Steckdose, wird ab etwa 90 µT ein schädlicher Wert gemeldet. Der liegt allerdings unterhalb des Grenzwerts nach dem Immissionsschutzgesetz. Bei Annäherung an einen kräftigen (statischen) Magneten schnellt die Messung zackig auf über 1000 µT. Das ist nicht unrealistisch, stellt aber nicht die geringste Gefahr für die Gesundheit dar. Anscheinend werden hier also Magnetfelder gemessen, dafür hat das iPhone ja auch einen Sensor (den u.a. die Kompassfunktion nutzt). Ob ein Wert in irgendeiner Weise riskant ist, hängt jedoch auch stark von der Frequenz des Feldes ab. Die wird aber nicht berücksichtigt, sonst gäbe es in statischen Feldern keine Warnung. Alles in allem kommt mir das wie eine nette Spielerei vor, deren Relevanz für Leben und Gesundheit kaum vorhanden sein dürfte. Geld würde ich dafür nicht ausgeben, gut also, dass es die App vorübergehend kostenlos gab.
