eNotify Basic provides private and secure direct local notification for incoming emails, phone calls, and battery levels. Highly configurable, eNotify supports complex alerts with custom alert sounds for different senders and callers. Easily silence day-to-day background noise and stay aware of those important emails and calls! Never let your low battery or cellular usage go unnoticed!

This BASIC VERSION supports alerts based on the SENDER (email FROM field) only. For more complex alerting schemes, check out the full version of eNotify!

- OVERVIEW -
Want to be notified in a unique way when certain important emails arrive? Find yourself constantly checking your email each time that ding announces itself? With eNotify you can configure any of 150+ built-in custom audio alerts (including subtle professional tones as well as entertaining ones) to help you stay aware of important messages or add new alert options via our market! In addition to the built-in sounds, you can add your own mp3 files via iTunes file sharing or record your own voice notice within the app for specific needs.

Unlike ALL the other "push email apps" which require you to forward all your email to their external servers or provide them with your email account login information, eNotify does its work *entirely* on your device, working in the background. Your email is safe and your data never leaves your device. None of your information is ever sent elsewhere. Period.

In addition to email messages, users can connect eNotify to a VoIP phone service to help those important phone calls reach through the static. Special phone numbers can be configured to override the device silent switch, making sure that you respond when you need to.

The best way to configure eNotify is to set the standard Mail app to check Manually, with Push disabled, and to disable the built-in new mail sound. This allows eNotify to alert you when new mail arrives and the Mail app will download the messages when you open it. This conserves battery life and generally provides the best possible user experience.

Enotify Basic

Well Im proud to be the first reviewer. Fantastic developer support - shout out to Josh. If you are like me and upgraded to a new iPhone after January 30, 2013, you may have noticed that Google stop supporting Exchange for all new phones. Well I like the native email client (I can turn off conversation view!!!!) but not having push notifications wasnt acceptable for my needs. I have tried every email client out there, each one needs too much "more" development. I even tried using the Gmail app to give me the notification and then use the native client to pull the email. Problem with that is when you open your phone the Gmail app opens. So Enotify has given me my solution. Thank you for making this app. It also is way better than Boxcar for my needs.

It works, but stop nagging me

Works. Got it to send notifications for corporate e-mail on my Pebble. What I dont like is the "nagware" to upgrade to the full version. It makes me wonder if the program stops working until you hit the x to close the nag panel. I paid for this version, when I pay $ for an app, I dont expect to be bugged as much as you do here. Do it once, maybe twice, then leave me the the heck alone. BTW, $4.99 for the full version is too much. I think $1.99 is the upper limit for this type of app.

Rating

The app. Works good but among 150 alert sound there is not ONE suitable sound for incoming emails notification. I think no body like to select the FART sound for his/her mail notification. And you have five type of this shameful sound. You can set less but calmative sound.

A little buggy

Great idea, well thought out. I use it all the time and I count on it for my job taking trouble calls. Once in awhile it will just stop notifying for no reason. You have to close the app and it will start working again. So, if youre going to use it for work, keep an eye on it.
