**You do not need a SIM Card installed or cellular coverage to utilise the GPS tracking functions on iPad for the app, though a WiFi+Cellular iPad is necessary to discover and track your location. A WiFi-only iPad does not contain the in-built GPS that a WiFi+Cellular iPad does, however external Bluetooth GPS receivers can be purchased for use with a WiFi-only iPad.

Connecté à internet tout va bien , bon zoom et bons détails , mais hors connexion , cest une catastrophe . Impossible de se guider avec . heureusement quun tom tom était dans le véhicule de location . Je regrette cet achat .

I will say that this app is lacking a few things, but I have to give it 5 stars because it actually does more than was stated. I havent had any glitches since the update. The weather maps overlay will crash the app if you try to do too much at once though. I use a wifi air 2 with bad elf gps in my XO rig. You do not need the Australian maps. We use this for the desert in America with no problems. This will be our primary tracking system for a 35 day expedition into Argentina. You must spend a considerable amount of time planning your routes if you want to use this as a navigation system. You can create a very rough route and it will save those maps for offline use on your overland run. Best to get the HN7 for navigation and use this for tracking. I will say that you wont be disappointed with this ap.
