FLIR Tools is a software specifically designed to provide an easy way to analyze infrared images and create inspection reports.

Examples of what you can do in FLIR Tools include the following:

· Import images from your camera to your computer.
· Search for images.
· Lay out, move, and resize measurement tools on any infrared image.
· Create PDF reports for images of your choice.
· Add headers, footers, and logos to reports.

Note: FLIR Tools is shipped with a number of sample images. However, to take full advantage of FLIR Tools you need access to a Flir infrared camera.

Good overall but needs some work

A good start, users can edit thermal images and add more detail from the companion digital picture, then export. However there are some rough edges that the FLIR software engineers could address: 1. View order and display preferences cannot be set globally, nor retained when switching directories. You can select the files displayed in the order you choose, but as soon as you look at another directory, you get the app default settings. 2. Likewise the app doesn’t remember directory paths last used. If you deviate from the folder structure FLIR thinks you should use for your files, you get to navigate through a Finder window each and every time you import and export. This feels like a Windows app where MS dictates you use their silly “My Photos” directory but can’t override the app to use another permanently. 3. The “Instruments” tab doesn’t support the C2 camera, only their much more expensive professional tools. So if you want to look at a live stream from a C2, you’re out of luck. All in all, a solid and useful program. A few minor tweaks and it could be really good by supporting the workflow you define, not the one it dictates.

Doesnt see my FLIR I7 camera

So thats useless. Plus they demanded I fill out a form with my personal information before just giving me a link to this. Super shady.

Okay, but needs work

Application works alright but is not a perfect substitute for the real software provided by the company. The editting function on this version is limited. The line tool is a nightmare compared to the real thing and the zoom button definitely does not work so analysis can be difficult. Flir should fix these problems! I prefer to do my edits/ analysis with the real software on my work computer and use this as a backup on my personal computer.

Need some improvement

Good tool, but not user friendlyfor some stuff: When you cange the order of the files in a folder, then change/edit a photo ang go back to the library it’s back to « default » and not the order selected previously. If by mistake you erase a file, there is no confirmation button or cancel button. When it comes to edit a Report: can’t change the pictures order, can’t put more than 2 IR pictures on the same page (even with a home made temple) Had some blockage when wanted to change emissivity. Can’t put it on « manual »: only the pre-selected settings worked. for the rest editing IR is super cool. Also had a problem when going live with my E60, i have no live picture on the computer and no measurements on the camera. may be some settings to adjust. I need to investigate.

Flr One Import problemlos
