Description
A story-based game for drilling the most annoying part of German grammar: noun genders.
Features:
* The only app that teaches you the 50 underlying RULES for genders, e.g. "words ending in -ung are usually feminine", "months are usually masculine". This prepares you for unseen nouns in future.
* Quizzes you nouns in order of their frequency in modern German. Learning the most common words first gives you the most bang for your learning buck.
* Employs a cutting edge spaced-repetition system to repeat items youve seen before at progressively longer revision intervals. Youll see an item today, then revise it a week later, then a month later, etc.
* Has an accompanying side-story set in post-Brexit UK. You unlock story chapters as you progress through the syllabus.
* Teaches you the compound nouns you get for free after learning any root noun (in German, compound nouns always have the same gender as their root components).
* Provides translations into English, courtesy of a professional human editor instead of Google Translate.
* Calculates and works with your overall progress, instead of quizzing you random titbits like other apps. If youre studious, you can "finish the app" – at which point youll also have mastered the most tedious (and important) part of German grammar.
* Push notifications to remind you to study every day. (Can be switched off.)
* Streaks to keep you motivated.
* (Pro mode only) - Displays the plural form of every noun
