Shot a great score and cant wait to see what your handicap will be?
Want to work out what score youll need to keep or lower your handicap before you tee off?
Arent a member of a golf organization, but want to know what your official handicap might be?
If you answered yes to any of these, then give my app a go.
What you do.
Enter as many scores as you want and your handicap gets calculated using the USGA rules.
The stats page has a what if slider that you can use to work out what any score would do to your current handicap.
Theres help in the app or from:

Or, if you want to work it out on paper try this:
1. Take all your scores, discard all but the most recent 20.
2. From the most recent 20, discard all but the best 10.
3. Average the best 10 scores.
4. Reduce the average by 4% - the excellence factor.
5. Truncate result after 1st decimal place (dont round).
6. Round the result to the nearest whole number.

Needs work
Does not follow USGA formula. Need to factor in course rating and slope. This app is off by 5 from my actual handicap.

Stupid app
Youve gone through all the trouble of making an app. Itd be SOOOO easy to do it right! Put in ACTUAL score, slope and rating, and CALCULATE the differential. This app makes as much sense as building a car and then leaving the wheels off. Let me know when you do it right since I dropped my club membership and my ghin tracking.
