Homer is afraid of horses because he was once attacked by a pack of big dogs, and its this event which molded his fear of larger dogs for the rest of his life. The only big dog that he likes is his friend Bianca, because she is also a rescue dog like him and they share everything together.
Will Homer ever reach his back yard, his favorite place to lie in the sun and watch the birds and squirrels? Its full of clover and he can sit and eat the leaves if his Papa will allow him to stay outside before he is ready for a nap on the sofa.
