September 2014 Edition: Updated to include all of the important human rights developments in 2013-14. New developments in our responses to human trafficking, asylum seeker processing, and the controversy around s.18C of the Racial Discrimination Act, as well as lots of cases and media reports from 2014 involving human rights in Australia are included. 3 hours of new videos are included in this year’s edition.
This is the OFFICIAL Human Rights App from HSC Apps. Don’t trust the cheap fake ‘HSC Apps’ multiple-choice apps!
This can REPLACE YOUR TEXTBOOK and you can keep this in your pocket for quick reference, last-minute cramming or writing study notes. Each dot-point is covered individually as its own VIDEO LECTURE. This means that I VISUALLY and VERBALLY EXPLAIN each point and you ALSO have the NOTES that you need to study for the exams. With almost 5 HOURS of videos included, the research and reading is all done for you. Unlike being in class, this app lets you PAUSE whenever you want to make notes. You can even RE-WATCH any part that you didn’t quite understand without having to stop the lesson. There is an explanation of how to address the THEMES AND CHALLENGES (but I couldn’t write every paragraph for you for your exams!). The app covers all the basics for each heading, but ALSO has the LAWS, CASES, MEDIA REPORTS and STATISTICS that have ALREADY been proven to be BAND 6 material. The research and reading is all done for you.
This is NOT A SUMMARY – it is the same as having a teacher who teaches you the topic. Four of the Top Ten students in 2012 used our resources. Even the full-mark responses the Board of Studies published in their ‘Exam Workbooks’ after the 2012 and 2013 exams had our content in them! If you’re a TEACHER, especially if you’re new to the course, this will give you EVERYTHING you need to teach the entire topic. I designed every part to make sure that any teacher could take these materials and teach any class. UNI STUDENTS can also spend one or two nights with this app and walk into a Human Rights or Law Foundation unit with the same confidence that my students have had after being in my class.
