• To read, write and understand English letters from A-Z
• Lowercase letter symbols and their sounds (phonics)
• Capital letters - letter names, writing and pronunciation
• Phonograms - writing and pronunciation
• Consonants and vowels
• Fine motor skills
Intro to Letters includes the following activities:
• LETTER SOUNDS (Lowercase Letters)
The first activity places an emphasis on phonetics instead of letter sounds. Your child will learn the sounds of the letters through a series of guided, interactive exercises.
• PHONOGRAMS
Similar to the letter sounds, your child will work through the sounds of phonograms and unite them with their symbols.
• FLASHCARDS
Connect the sounds of the lowercase letters with their uppercase counterparts.
• LETTER NAMES (Capital Letters)
The objective of this activity is to acquire a knowledge of the names and symbols of the capital letters.
• SOUNDCARDS
A special recording section to help your child learn sounds, phonograms and names.
• PRACTICE MODE - This section allows kids to practice specific letters or phonograms. A new toggle feature allows the user to isolate their tracing paths.
• ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
Recording Studio: Adults can record their own pronunciations of letter sounds and names to use throughout the app so children learn from a voice they love. Follow the instructions in the Parent Portal to get started.
Integrated Kids Library: Swiping the home screen will reveal all Montessorium apps on the user’s device. Tap an app icon to switch to a different activity.
Integrated Parent Portal: We’ve added several tools to help adults access information. With “Journal”, adults can stay up to date with Montessorium news and read posts on education, design, and technology.
Intro to Letters is a universal app for use on the iPad and iPhone. Please note, the Recording Studio functionality will not work on the iPod Touch.

Acccrochage immédiat, est un jeu ou une méthode pour apprendre les lettre?
trop décourageant pour les enfants.
Mes enfants ont été découragés par cette application que je navais pas acheté à ce prix là à lépoque....contrairement à ce qui est énoncé dans le descriptif, elle nest pas du tout ludique......je suis très déçue car jai entendu parlé de Montessori et je ne retrouve pas dans cette application les principes éducatifs connus par tous. La méthode est certes éprouvée mais loin dêtre prouvée dans cette application...

Après des années dutilisation du matériel Montessori, javais changé décole, de méthode et de niveau. Je redécouvre avec plaisir cette transposition. Pour linstant sur iPhone (trop petit) en attendant mon iPad 2. Nul doute que je vais organiser un atelier dans ma classe de maternelle grande section. Cette version contrairement à celle des maths est en Français. Il manque effectivement les lettres accentuées. Ce serait un "plus". Mes élèves qui ont testé semblent à laise et séduits. Je précise que cest un outil dapprentissage, pas un jeu vidéo.
Vraiment excellent
Mon avis est sensiblement le même que pour le jeu des chiffres du même développeur, je vais donc faire un avis similaire. Jai acheté cette application et lautre (les chiffres) sans la moindre hésitation et je suis conquise. Lapplication est bien conçue, le graphisme de qualité et les enfants accrochent rapidement. Non seulement mes 2 petits de 3 et 5 ans y jouent et adorent mais mon ado de presque 15 ans qui est autiste y joue avec une concentration et un plaisir qui font chaud à voir. On aimerait plus dapplications de qualité comme celle-ci. Merci aux développeurs et bravo à vous.

Très bonne application pour découvrir les lettres. Mon fils depuis ses 3 ans narrête pas de lutiliser. Le prix est tout à fait justifié.
170 Mo ! Merci la version rétina
Je me demande pourquoi, bien que faisant attention, la mémoire de mon iPhone se réduit comme une peau de chagrin. Et bien voici la réponse: La prise en charge de lipad rétina. Hier, cette appli sympathique mais pas très pratique (à lécole, les enfants apprennent à écrire en lettre cursives, pas en caractères dimprimerie…) pesait 70 Mo. Aujourdhui, grâce à son update "ipad rétina" elle en fait maintenant 170 ! Est-ce pour nous pousser à acheter des iPhone et iPad à 32 Go, puis 64 ? Cest bien dommage...
A éviter, escroquerie
Acheter une application à ce prix là pour si peu de chose, cest une escroquerie. De plus, lapplication appelle un B "beu", un C "ceu" etc. Ma fille de 3 ans et demi sait quun B ce dit "b" et nest jamais passée par une telle pratique... La première fois quelle a essayé lapplication, elle ma demandé dans quelle langue cétait.
