Description
iYachtRace assists Race Officers in laying an accurate course for yacht, keelboat and dinghy racing. It has the following features:
Calculates course size for the required race duration or race duration for a given size.
Windward-leeward, Triangular and Trapezoid course types.
Racing mark positions presented in lat-long and true bearing and distance from starting vessel/platform.
Racing mark labelling options - numbered or lettered.
Course positions corrected for start line length.
Start position can be obtained using the GPS and start/finish lines set using the compass.
Function to estimate Wind direction using the compass.
Mark positions offset to allow for effects of tidal stream.
Courses for an event may be pre-planned and saved under user-defined names.
Map display enables Race Officer to check that the course is in the desired position.
