"The design lessons of Apple prove that simplicity is always in style, and with only two buttons, the Kitsch player is as simple as it gets."
-Knar Bedian, evolver.fm

A music player with the charm and elegant simplicity of a transistor radio. Kitsch Player plays the music in your music library but uses the look and feel of operating a classic radio.

Rotate the dial to tune into one of 11 stations. On each station youll find music from a particular genre, artist, album or playlist. The music will continue to play while the app is in the background, and it will work with remote control headphones and external devices.

iPhone and iPod users can switch between one of four different skins, inspired from different decades of classic pocket radio designs. Swipe the lower part of the screen to move from one design to the next.

iPad and iPad mini users can save their favorite genres, artists, albums or playlists on up to 5 channels.

Kitsch Player does NOT play actual FM/AM radio, it does NOT work with iTunes Radio, it does NOT stream internet radio, and it does NOT add music to your music library. It plays only the music that is on your devices music library.

Awesome!

Originally I purchased the app based on the pretty screenshot in search results, just to see what it does. But man has it turned out to be awesome. I love it for the retro feel, and my 3yo son loves it because he can easily control music playback from my collection. I think its a stroke of genius, and needs to be featured and promoted everywhere. :-) If theres a chance of an update (I imagine this app hasnt exactly made its author rich), Id love the app to remember the last chosen face.

Good idea made true

Feels like a radio tuner that works with my iTunes library. Very fun, and I can tune to any station and then come back a few minutes later if I dont like the song. Its great.

I like it!

I like this app. Has the feel of an old transistor radio. The radios are beautiful. Fun way to listen to the music on your device. Thanks!

Simple and elegant

A fun and instantly familiar way to listen to your music library.

Just awesome

This app is way cool. I just dig the way it plays my songs. Great when your not sure what u want to listen to.

KINDLE FIRE APP COMING?

I LOVE IT. PLEASE TELL ME A KINDLE FIRE/KINDLE FIRE HD VERSION IS UPCOMING IN THE NEAR FUTURE. SHOWED KITSCH PLAYER TO A FRIEND WHO NOW WANTS IT FOR HIS KINDLE FIRE. IMPRESSIVE YET SIMPLE WAY TO LISTEN TO ALL OF YOUR MUSIC. ANY NEW RADIO FACES LIKELY? WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE OF THE STYLES FROM THE 30s — 70s IN WOOD, BAKELITE, CHROME OR JUST ABOUT ANY DESIGN. WOULD TRY ANY OF YOUR APPS IN FUTURE.

ADHD & Loving this!

First off: yes, it looks a certain way. You love it or hate it. Get over that, either way (personally LOVE IT) Kitch Players interface is amazing. I have a total love/hate relationship w/ both the radio & itunes(radio offeres no control & crappy music; Itunes gives so much control over so much good music that i end up sunk in a rabbit hole). The Kitsch player interface offers MY pre-approved music (itunes) in a simple, no-brainer manner (mock-radio shuffle style). I cant tell you how it works, exactly, but it makes stations by looking for similarities in your songs. The result is awesome. The devs website says it has something to do w/ genres. Consequently, it has done for the "genre" & "grouping" info on my songs what the advent of Cover Flow did to my concern over album art for mp3s. If you have a lot of music on your player, you will likely find yourself wishing it had a display to tell you what youre hearing. Ive grown to love that about it, too! HUGE props to Ham Again for a slick, lovely, simple, & brilliant concept. Now re-vamp it to normalize playback volume using ReplayGain, & ill give you five bucks for it!
