Omni Mal Agencies Sdn. Bhd. was founded in 1997 and incorporated in 2007. Since its establishment, Omni Mal has been recognized by the trade as an innovative company supplying quality dates/dried fruits in unique theme and concept. While all traders in the industry selling dates as commodity, Omni Mal was the first company to segment the market with theme and distinctive identity that changed the market’s perception of dates. Marketed under the brands of “Gurun Emas” (Golden Desert), “Date-Licious”, and “Jendela Arab” (The Window of Arab), the image of dates has been greatly improved since then.
Nowadays people are giving our dates as gift or souvenir to their loved ones, VIPs, business associates, and staffs, especially during the month of Ramadan.

“To liberate consumers from the traditional offering of dates and dried fruits in the industry.”
What we mean by “liberate” is to provide selection, to inform and educate consumers the functional benefits of the products; and to use dates as a base (raw material) for new innovative products. Omni Mal’s products are processed with natural treatment, so that the product is clean and safe without insects, shelf life is prolonged up to 12-24 months, and the goods can be handled under ambient environment without the need for chilling. Therefore, our customers are able to save cost from handling,
storage and longer shelf life.
Omni Mal also does value-add to dates, in which some of the special features are unique in the market. For examples, Dates Soft Cake, dates coated with black cumin seed oil, dates inserted with creamy chocolate, and dates with cereal. Others include dates syrup, dates with almond, chickpeas, cashewnuts, walnuts, etc. In addition, there are date by-products under development that we are collaborating with both domestic and overseas & institutions.
In Malaysia, we distribute our products through many channels, including International Chain Stores (Cold Storage, Giant, Mercato, Jasons, Aeon, Isetan, 7-11, Guardian, Watsons, Wellness, etc.), National Chain Stores (Jaya Grocer, Ben’s Independent Grocer, Billion, Pantai Timur, etc.), local supermarkets, e-Platform (Malaysia – Kumoten, Aladdin Street, Halal Food Master, 11 Street, Lazada, Lelung.my, Shopee, Murah.com, etc. and our Kurma Omni Mal App) , hamper companies, wedding planners, corporates, government agencies, and others (Cinemas, TV Shopping, etc.).

For overseas market, our products reach consumers’ hands in nine countries, including
Singapore, Brunei, Taiwan, China, Australia, South Korea, Philippines, Thailand, and even

3. Food Safety: HACCP Codex Alimentarius (Geneva), HACCP RvA (Netherland)
On top of that, recently our unique “Gurun Emas” Dates Syrup passed the testing study conducted by The University of Sydney and certified by Glycemic Index Foundation (a non-profit organization) as Low GI. Our product is the first in Malaysia being granted with Low GI certification. “Gurun Emas” Dates Syrup is also the first certified healthy sugar substitute in the world!
