Great!

Awesome app, cool design, best functionality.

Great

Awesome lab app for the student or professional!

Pro must mean Prototype

Buggy sliders, erroneous calculations, and only slightly useful: The mole converter tells me that 2g of a 1Dalton compound = 2 mmoles (should be 2 moles) Most of the sliders that let you switch units dont allow you to select anything besides yM/yL or M/L. The slider just snaps between those two extremes and you cant select anything in between. The pH solution calculator probably works, but I wouldnt know because its so difficult to figure out. I had to read the help document at the iSheepSoft site, and now I just wonder, Why would anyone need this? Maybe if you do a lot of novel buffer prep. Several calculations allow you to solve for a particular variable (ie, G, radius, RPM). It took me a few tries to verify that the button I was pushing shouldve been labled "Solve for:" G, radius, RPM. This is unclear at the beginning. The PPM converter doesnt help if you do volume/volume dilutions, only mass/mass is supported (though it has a nifty density correction feature!, so maybe youre supposed to back-calculate vol. from mass-density?) The molarity calculator appears to work, but its not the most user friendly implementation, and for this I can use iPhones calculator (as Im a professional chemist). So its only useful for centrifugation calculations and molarity, but I dont trust it now that Ive seen it screw up a simple mole conversion. Sigh. Im useing an iPhone 3G. Is this not 3G compatible?

As the developer I am sorry that you had such a bad experience. The problem with mole converter was caused by a wrong variable which was set when you did exit the program. The next time you did start the program kDa instead of Da was displayed (or vice versa). Therefore you get mmoles instead of moles. You can test it by yourself by shaking your device to clear all fields. When you now enter the values the correct solution will be displayed. I have submitted an update (1.8.1) to fix this problem. The update will also address the slider issue. In cases when the value was zero it was not possible to change the unit. However thank you for your valuable feedback and I hope you give the program a second chance.
