This is a sad attempt at an app, much less an app that is intended to engage and teach sounds for auditory training. If I could, I would give negative stars. My girlfriend and I got a laugh out of the recording of a cat though.

Description
The Auditory-Verbal approach is a parent-oriented therapy system that seeks to teach deaf students, through the use of hearing aids or cochlear implants, the ability to understand spoken language in order to communicate through the spoken word. Once key factor in this therapy is the reestablishment of the parent as the primary teacher of speech and language. The AV approach is accomplished through structured lessons taught to the parents by the therapist. For hard-of-hearing children, one of the many activities that can facilitate listening to sounds are sound-object association activities also known as "learning to listen sounds". This program is designed to help children working on these sounds.

Poor recordings
Terrible..
My sister has a cochlear implant so I downloaded this app hoping to expose her to environmental sounds. Much to my surprise, all the sounds are just a man and woman attempting to imitate the sounds. It is a joke. The sounds arent even accurate! Massive waste of $1.99....
DO NOT BUY
Do not buy. This app does not work since loaded OS 5 . The author of this app does not respond to requests for help. Would rate a zero if possible. If the author would respond to my requests for help I would be willing to change this rating.

Its a joke
I downloaded this app for one of my students expecting to hear real environmental sounds and what you get is individuals trying to make these sounds! Do not purchase!!
Not with the money
The animal sounds page is cut off. I paid the same amount of mo eh for old macdonald had a farm by RIDBC and they offer so much more. Disappointed. Hoping there are updates for this app coming soon.
