makeDoc will convert markdown, OPML and plain text into Microsoft Word format (Office2007 and above.)

Create your document using one of the great markdown/text editors on iOS then send it over to makeDoc for conversion to Word.

Once converted, documents can be previewed, emailed, printed or sent to another app such as Dropbox, GoodReader, Evernote, Pages etc.

You can even send OPML outlines from apps such as OmniOutliner for conversion.

Great tool to have in your kit

I dont use this app very often, but when I do its a lifesaver. Its often easier to set up complex relatiinships in an outline or mindmap. But then the problem is how to get it into a word table. This app is the solution.

Bravo!

Oh, Yeah!

I have loved the developers iThoughts HD mind-mapping app, and saw a note in his latest update there that he had come up with this tool. I really needed an app that would do this, and my experience thus far has had no issues. This is a great app! If you mind map, outline in a program like OmniOutliner, or write in Markdown - and need to get your stuff over into the Microsoft Word format - you need this app. Highly recommended.

Truncates First and Last #

The software worked fine at first. Then it began to omit the first and last # lines. I like the convenience of using this in conjunction with my Drafts app. However, I will now look for a replacement, at least until this problem is fixed.

Works as advertised

I use OmniOutliner on the iPad to take notes in meetings when traveling. I have to get these out to meeting attendees in Word format. I can create the notes, transfer them quickly to Pages in an appropriate format and send it. This would not be possible without this utility. Great job! Looking forward to further development and features in the included style sheet.

Needs more automation

This app does what it claims. However, it is more of a "filter" than an "app", and as such it should be controllable through URL automation. It should be possible to pass the file from a text app and then send the output to its destination (e.g., Dropbox, or especially Skydrive given its Microsoft-centric output).
