Neuzugewanderte Menschen in Deutschland brauchen, wie jeder andere Bürger auch, Zugang zu Mobilität, um sich integrieren zu können, Behördengänge wahrzunehmen und am gesellschaftlichen Leben teilzunehmen. Die Tatsache, dass viele Neuzuwanderer dezentral in ländlichen Regionen untergebracht sind, verschärft das ländliche Mobilitätsproblem mit zwei Hauptproblemfeldern: unzureichende Informationen und begrenzte und unflexible Mobilitätsangebote.

Das MAZ-Projekt adressiert diese Probleme durch die Entwicklung einer Smartphone-Applikation, die die Bereitstellung von Informationen über Mobilitätsdienstleistungen verbessern soll, indem sie verschiedene Zielgruppen anspricht.
