Usable for night travels and flights with NVGs

This program is very useful for night trainings with NVG helicopter flights. This program only needs; azimuth and maximum rise angle of the moon to be added. Thaks anyway. Then ill give five stars.

Had this in the 90s!

I had the original MoonMenu on my Mac, I think, way back in the 90s on my Mac SE. Maybe my memory is exagerating but it was a very long time ago. I had no idea it existed on OS X until just now. It’s great. What else can I say

Solid Moon Info on the the Menu Bar.

This looks to be a pretty decent Lion compatible replacement for the much missed "Moon Dock". Idve given it 5 stars except that the Quit command could have a shortcut and be a little more conveniently placed.

wont do what it says

Same problem it is in my dock and it will not open !! i have tried to re install but still nothing !! what a waste !!

Elegant and useful

Installation was simple on my MacBook Air. Clicking the icon on the dock and choosing "Yes" to run at login placed a tiny moon at upper right in the menu bar. Since the icon is now in the menu bar, I took it off the dock. Clicking it in the menu bar rolls down a very nice display that gives me the daily moon info I want. (At top left of the roll-down, there is also a click-to-open menu where you can turn "Run at login" off if you want to.) This elegant little app works exactly as advertised. The moon phase photos are perfect! I like to see the big daily photo at the bottom of the roll-down when I first open MoonMenu, so I keep "Preferences" closed unless needed. Click the arrow or title in different sections to open or close the sections. The tiny moon icon in the menu bar shows the moon phases too! At the top of the roll-down, be sure to click "About" for definitions and a fun link to Farmers Almanac.

Doesn

Wont open. Total waste.

This was a very nice addition to the menubar

As a Cancer, I have an affinity to always looking at the moon and always wanting to know what the current moon phases. Recently there has been many nights that have been cloudy, making me miss the moon. I dont know, but I get antsy when I cant see the moon every once in a while. This cute little app works just wonderfully. It has great information, such as: sunrise sunset current Moon phase, etc. Not sure if it hasnt yet but Id like to be able to see an update with lunar eclipses, solar eclipses as well. Also perhaps very unique features that only happened once in a while such as conjunctions with other planets. Maybe even when the "Supermoon" is out with Perigee & apogee. Its nice. It does it supposed to do. And it is worth the dollar.
