"Music Board" allows the user to define notes and their relative order such that they can be constantly changed by way of spatial manipulation. The App makes it possible to work with generative processes and interact with structuring methods in modern music without any expert knowledge. Johann Sebastian Bach began working with the mathematical possibilities for manipulating notational order as early as the sixteenth century. To play a melody forwards, backwards and as an inversion essentially amounts to a spatial operation. According to Cliffords algebra, the material is changed by rotation on the vertical, horizontal or diagonal axis. Thus, by introducing material subdivisions a generative instrument is formed.

Mit Music Board können die Nutzerinnen und Nutzer Töne und Reihenfolgen definieren und diese kontinuierlich durch räumliche Manipulationen verändern. Auch ohne Expertenwissen zu besitzen, ermöglicht die Applikation, intuitiv mit Prozessen umzugehen, die sich automatisch erzeugen, und dabei mit Strukturmethoden neuester Musik zu interagieren. Schon Johann Sebastian Bach arbeitete mit mathematischen Möglichkeiten, die Reihenfolge von Tönen zu manipulieren. Eine Melodie vorwärts, rückwärts und in der Umkehrung zu spielen, ist letztendlich eine Operation im Raum. Gemäß der Clifford’schen Algebra wird das Notenmaterial durch Drehung auf der horizontalen beziehungsweise der vertikalen Achse verändert. Führt man nun Unterteilungen des Materials ein, so entsteht ein generatives Instrument, mit dessen Hilfe sich Musik erzeugen lässt.
