MusicConnect is a great way to get the most out of your iPhone, iPod touch and iPads music library. Imagine Apples Remote in reverse and that is exactly what you get!

MusicConnect for mac lets you play and browse the music on your iDevice whilst sitting at your computer. Let your speakers do all the work as you control the music playing on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad from your mac from anywhere within range of your wifi!

You could be sitting outside, upstairs, in the basement or on the roof and you can have complete control over what is playing, without having to move a centimetre.

Get MusicConnect for iPad/iPhone on the iTunes App Store (there is a lite version so you can try before you buy), and get listening to your music in style!

Instructions:
1- Download MusicConnect from the iPhone App Store on your device

2- Open MusicConnect on your mac and on your iDevice and make sure they are connected to the same wifi network

3- Select "speaker" on your iDevice, then click the "Find Device" button on your mac

4- Your iDevice should appear on the list on your mac (if it does not, your network firewalls need adjusting). Select the device and it will collect music data from your iDevice

5- Once the information has cached you can get listening. Plug your iDevice into speakers and enjoy the music!

Please note- the music on the lite version will play for 15 seconds before changing to the next song. This is to let you test your connection and to see if this is the App for you. If you like MusicConnect Lite then please purchase the full version!

MacDesktop,

its ok

its a pretty good app but it dosnt connect my ipod touch all it does is connect my computer that the apps on

Pretty Good Start

I had been looking for some sort of App or service that allowed me to control my mobile devices audio playback from my computer, as my house is wired with speakers with one central stereo system. This app is a pretty good start, although it is a little buggy, it allows me to control the music being played from my old iphone on my Macbook Pro with general ease. I would like to see some volume control integrated, and maybe support for the new Home Sharing mobile feature instead of being limited to the music physically on the device. Overall though, it is definitely worth the $3.99

Not bad for a 1.0 version app

I had no trouble at all pairing the devices (iPod Touch and MacBook Pro) once the app was downloaded on both machines. The controls are intuitive, well-layed out and so far there have been no connectivity issues. The one problem Im having is that I cannot get the playlists from the touch onto to MusicConnect window. I see the artists, tracks and albums, but no Playlists: thats a bummer. I was hoping that would work, b/c I see it on the images shown (above). Anyone have advice on this issue?

Im disappointed

I got all excited, its the app Ive been searching for. I did everything as instrucetd. It worked. However, it would play 15 seconds of a song and move to the next, then 15 seconds of that song and move to next, and contiue doing that when I didnt click anything. :/

sorta works

this is exactly what i have been looking for, but it never works, when i go to connect it to my computer it will connect 1 in every 30 times i try, and once i do get it connected it doesnt stay connected for very long… then you have to go through the whole process again. not worth it… once you get those bugs fixed ill be happy...
