NaviBlind allows blind or visually impaired people to walk to new destinations on their own, without prior instructions. The app works by delivering navigation messages with better than one-meter accuracy.

Important! You need to have a NaviBlind GPS accessory at hand to use the app. Please contact NaviBlind ApS to inquire.

Stay on the route, always. NaviBlind will help you to:
Turn, exactly where the sidewalk turns,
Stop, exactly where pedestrian crossing or other obstacles are,
Adjust your heading towards the direction of the route.

HOW IT WORKS
1. You submit a request for a walking route from A to B
2. Within 72 hours* the route request is processed, and the route is shared with you
3. You may now select the route in the app, turn on the GPS accessory and get route guidance from A to B

USE THE NAVIBLIND APP TO
Walk to any place you would like to walk to. For instance, use the app to walk to a store, to school or to work, or use the app in your spare time to go for a walk in a park.

THE PERFECT ROUTE
All routes created by NaviBlind are designed to avoid obstacles such as road construction or newly build structures. The high quality of the routes is ensured by using regularly updated satellite images of the very best resolution.

PUBLIC ROUTES
You may select a publicly available route in the app. These routes typically include walking paths in your local park or routes from a train station to important locations.

FEEDBACK FROM TEST PILOTS

Sofie Monggaard Christensen, blind: ”NaviBlind makes it a breeze to walk in the city, since I don’t have to remind myself of my current location or spend energy on walking straight. Instead, I can concentrate on avoiding potential obstacles.”

Emil Buus, blind: “The product is brilliant – I believe I can safely rely on NaviBlind to get around outdoors.”

Gustav Koch Rasmussen, visually impaired: “Ive tried many other apps and aids. This product is clearly the best there is.”

*We strive to deliver routes within 24 hours, but longer delivery times may occur from time to time.

Latest version NaviBlind: 1.2

We have listened to our users, and we are happy to announce that our latest app update now allows users to turn off VoiceOver in the NaviBlind app.

When VoiceOver is turned off, the app will use the regular voice for navigation instead of the special voice used for VoiceOver. This provides users with more flexibility and control over the app and makes it easier for them to customize the app to their personal preferences.

We are dedicated to creating a user-friendly and accessible app experience for everyone, and we will continue to listen to our users feedback and implement the features that will make the app more accessible and user-friendly.
