The software works well and is easy to use. to read the names of the streets is difficult and should be improved. I had hoped a software is available to show the radar traps, but integrated with the gps. It is difficult to find streets if you do not know the name of the subburb.
kein GPS Empfang mit iphone 3gs modell MC139DN über 3 Wochen
In 3 Wochen Südafrikaurlaub (im Auto unterwegs) hab ich 2x kurz GPS Empfang gehabt. Ich weiß nicht wo das Problem liegt. Firmwarekonflikte etc. Mit meinem iphone hat mobileNavigator nur gemeldet, das die Navigation startet, sobald genug Empfang da ist. Dies passierte praktisch nie. Wenn das Signal gefunden wird, funktioniert alles bestens. Ich kann den anderen beiden Rezensoren nur widersprechen.

3 Mädels knapp 4 Wochen unterwegs in Südafrika - von Kapstadt fast die komplette Westküste bis nach Namibia - retour nach Kapstadt und entlang der Gardenroute bis an die Grenze nach Mozambique - die SouthAfrica-Navigation hat perfekt funktioniert. Auch im Landesinneren und im Niemandsland. Wer Afrika kennt, der weis was ich damit meine. Ohne einen Fehler. Ich habe allerdings mein IPhone an das TomTom Carkit angeschlossen. In dieser Kombi kann ich die Navi nur empfehlen. Einfach klasse.

Hab das Navigon in Verbindung mit dem TomTom Carkit und Iphone 3GS verwendet...(danke für den Tipp an Ulli B).Keinerlei Probleme mit dem GPS Empfang und das Landesweit! Verbesserungswürdig erschien mir die deutsche Sprachausgabe,aus Drive (Dr)wurde da schon mal Doktor.Englische Strassennamen sollte man schon als solche aussprechen,sonst klingts schon etwas befremdlich(Eierport ist dann der Flughafen) Zweimal wurde eine Strasse garnicht erkannt. Strassennummern waren nur schwer zu erkennen:gelbe Zahlen auf grünem Hintergrund. Blitzer wurden sehr zuverlässig erkannt,nicht ganz unwichtig,da mehr als in Deutschland! War vorher vier mal in Südafrika und haben uns da mit Landkarten beholfen.Dies funktionierte mit Navigon schon einfacher.Vereinzelte Schwächen gibt es ja auch für die Navigation in Deutschland. Alles in Allem eine klare Kaufempfehlung.Ich habe den Kauf nicht bereut! Übrigens funktioniert auch mit ausgeschaltetem Roaming und deaktivierten mobilen Daten,also keine versteckten oder nachträglichen Kosten!
Super App für entspannten Südafrika Trip
Habe das Navigon Südafrika in Verbindung mit dem iPhone 4 gerade in unserem Südafrika Urlaub (Cape Area) im Einsatz und es funktioniert super und einwandfrei. Gerade in Städten wie Kapstadt ist dies sehr hilfreich bei der Suche von Restaurants, etc. Habe es zusammen mit dem Navigon Car Kit for iPhone für den besseren Komfort benutzt, welches ich ebenfalls empfehlen kann.
