Ça a l air pas mal
Je l ai telecharge pour mes prochaines vacances mais impossible d avoir accès a la carte quand on est pas dans La zone géographique concerne (pas possible de préparer ses étapes et itinéraires ici en France dommage ) - la fonction Ipod est très basique ( pourrai être améliore ) - autre amélioration possible: pouvoir entrer directement des coordonnée GPS comme destination + sinon C très beau et très intuitif BRAVO
Navigon Australie (en français)
Pas -ou peu- de problèmes avec la circulation... Rapide, précis, cest bien. Un TRÈS gros souci malgré tout !! La voix (en français) est pourtant très claire mais massacre allègrement tous les noms propres : rues, villes, lieux etc... Ca en est comique tellement cest incompréhensible: ni du français, ni de langlais... Dommage!

- leitet teilweise falschrum in Einbahnstraßen - leitet teilweise falschrum auf Autobahnauffahrten (extrem gefährlich gerade beim ungwohnten Linksverkehr) - Springt auf Autobahn wenn man drunterher fährt - Mehrfach innerstädtisch in Sackgassen geleitet - Bis zu 7Km in falsche Richtung um dann zu wenden (hat nicht etwa auf Wendemöglichkeit gewartet) - Ansagen Autobahn zu verlassen erst 200m nach der Ausfahrt, obwohl GPS Signal vorhanden und Positionsanzeige korrekt - Stimme und Pfeilbild sagen Links, während Karte rechts anzeigt und umgekehrt. Karte hat immer recht. - Häufig Aufforderung abzubiegen wenn man nur dem Strassenverlauf folgen muss. Auch ohne dass es überhaupt eine Abzweigung gibt - Automatischer Tag/Nacht Modus schaltet zu unpassenden Zeiten. Um 9 ist immer noch Nachtmodus wobei es im Nov. in Queensland bereits ab 4:30 hell wird. Da liegt die Berechnung also mal eben 4,5h daneben. Vergessen das Australien auf der Südhalbkugel liegt und deswegen im Nov. Sommer ist? - GPS Empfang nicht im Flugzeugmodus möglich. Das iPhone zieht sich beim Navigieren scheinbar mehr als 5W. Jedenfalls kommt ein Zigarettenanzündernetzteil mit 1A bei 5V nicht hinterher. Der Akku ist nach etwa 2h komplett entladen. Deswegen schalte ich WLAN und 3G aus. Dann geht es, wenn man Glück hat. Lieber würde ich mit dem Flugzeugmodus komplett allen Funk abschalten. Doch dann empfängt Navigon kein GPS mehr. Dies macht aus zwei Gründen keinen Sinn: erstens empfängt GPS nur und sendet nicht (stellt also kein Induktionsproblem für Flugzeugkabel dar) und zweitens empfangen andere Anwendungen GPS im Flugzeugmodus. Es liegt also an Navigon und nicht am iPhone. Wenn Navigon es also nicht schafft die Prozessoreistungsaufnahme in einem akzeptablen Rahmen zu halten, dann sollte wenigstens der Flugzeugmodus als Alternative funktionieren. Fazit: es funktioniert prinzipiell, aber 63E sind übertrieben für den Reifegrad des Programms. Da muss von Navigon noch nachgelegt oder der Preis deutlich gesenkt werden.
Absoluter Fehlkauf
Ich habe mir in Vorbereitung eines Australienurlaubs die iPhone-Version der Navigationssoftware von Navigon für Australien gekauft. Eines vorweg: Kartenmaterial und Software sind grottenschlecht!!! Hier einige "Highlights": - Straßennamen werden irgendwie auf "denglisch" vorgelesen. Das ist zunächst komisch, dann aber irgendwann nur noch peinlich und ärgerlich, weil verwirrend. - Das Kartenmaterial muss uralt sein, an vielen, vielen Stellen stimmt es nicht mit der Realität überein. - Tempolimits fehlen fast überall. - Bei North Stradbroke Island (Fährverbindung) versucht Navigon einen durchs Meer zu schicken (kein Witz). - Oft kennt die Software keine Einbahnstraßen - gefährlich, sich in solchen Situationen aufs Navi zu verlassen. - Häufiger kam es vor, dass mich Navigon in Sackgassen gelotst hat. Fazit: es ist eine Frechheit von Navigon, dieses Produkt in der beschriebenen Qualität und zu dem hohen Preis zu verkaufen. Apple sollte hier reagieren und das Produkt aus dem App-Store entfernen.
Nützlich, aber fehlerhaft
Für die Ostküste Australiens (Route Sydney - Cairns) war die Software fehlerfrei und gut. Im Süden Australiens (Adelaide - Melbourne) sind die Karten jedoch fehlerhaft und die Software berechnet unlogische Routen. So berechnete uns die Software zum Beispiel eine Route von 350km mit 5 Stunden Dauer, die wir jedoch nach Kartenstudium auf lediglich 220km und 2:30 Stunden reduzieren konnten (Die Einstellung der Routenberechnung stand auf Optimal). In dieser Region traten diese Berechnungsfehler wiederholt auf. Außerdem ist, für die Aktualität der Software (17.Dezember 2009), das Kartenmaterial definitiv nicht auf dem neuesten Stand. Mehrere Strassen und Kreisverkehre, die mit Sicherheit älter als 1 Jahr sind, wurden nicht erfasst. Generell braucht das GPS sehr lange (Erfassungszeit 2-10min) um die genaue Position zu erfassen. Dies mag allerdings an der Hardware und nicht unbedingt an der Software liegen. Im Fazit kann man sagen, die Software ist für die Navigation hilfreich (sie hat uns immer zum Ziel geführt), sollte jedoch nur als Sekundärressource verwendet werden und immer durch Kartenstudium überprüft werden. PS: Bei längerer Fahrdauer ist ein Kfz-Ladekabel unbedingt erforderlich, da das I-Phone im GPS-Betreib maximal 1 Stunde Akkulaufzeit hat.
Eher nicht in Melbourne
Kontinentaleuropäern macht das Fahren in der 3 Mio. Stadt Melbourne u.a. wg. dem Linksfahren, mehrspurigen baulich voneinander getrennten Fahrstreifen in einer Richtung und wg. der besonderen Rechtsabbiegeregel in der Innenstadt (wg. den Trams) zu schaffen. Ein gutes Navi sollte deswegen möglichst unnötige Abbiegemanöver vermeiden und die richtige Fahrspur zeigen. Die Navigon-Software versagt in Melbourne leider völlig und bringt einen unnötig in problematische Situationen. Ich war schon vor einem Jahr in Melbourne und kannte deshalb schon den optimalen Weg. Die Navigon-Software empfahl völlig unnötige Abbiegemanöver, die auch schon vor einem Jahr nicht nötig waren. Ein Nichtbefolgen der Navigon-Empfehlung führte zur Totalverwirrung des Navis. Mehrere baulich getrennte Fahrspuren wurden nicht aufgelöst, was einen ziemlich vom Weg abbringen kann. Einzig auf den Autobahnen (Citylink) und zum Flughafen war das Navigon gewohnt gut. Die Autovermieter Avis und Europcar verwenden Garmin-Geräte mit Karten von WhereIs. Diese können leider auch nicht mehrspurige Fahrstreifen unterscheiden, sind aber in der Stadt entscheidend fehlerfreier. Auf der Autobahn waren diese aber dem Navigon unterlegen. Fazit: Ein Maximum an Leistung in der Stadt ist wichtiger, als auf der Autobahn - deshalb kann ich Navigon Australia NICHT empfehlen – den Preis halte ich deshalb für unangemessen.
