love the book, love the app. Three features I would like to see: 1. order bookmarks by categories 2. add your own places 3. add notes to places
Great App
Was a Great help. I used the app more than my Time Out Print edition. The recommanded Restaurants and bars were cool and I loved the "close by"-Button for searching things. It really worked well.
Best NY App Ive found
Though many of the descriptions are short, it gives a really good impression of what to expect. It worked especially well with cafes. Sometimes a bit cynical, but always reliable. Much better than the print edition, as its a lot more easy to use when travelling. It makes perfect use of the iPhone possibilities. The Frommer app is a close second, though considerably less hip. Dont even think about buying the dreadful Lonely Planet app.
Nach dem Update auch offline brauchbar
Ich hatte mir von der App mehr erhofft, bis zum Update, war es offline nutzlos... Jetzt ist es mit Gps einigermaßen zu gebrauchen... Gibt jedenfalls bessere Kostenlose apps. 3 Sterne für die offline Maps und das es mich bei -10 grad zu einem Starbzcks geführt hat....

Die Beschreibung der App suggeriert eine Programmversion in deutscher Sprache, was jedoch keineswegs der Fall ist. Bei der Auswahl einer Adresse werden lediglich Telefonnummer, Anschrift und Web-Adresse angezeigt. Weitere Infos sind offline nicht verfügbar. Man kann sich den Ort auch noch auf einer Karte anzeigen lassen - dies geht alles aber auch kostenlos über Google. Für diese dürftigen Infos 4,99 € zu kassieren, empfinde ich als Frechheit - man sollte die Finger davon lassen!!
Not Enough There for $4.99...
Little detail behind listings (times, price ranges); grocery stores and fast food missing (or I couldnt find them); maps dont zoom. Some good info but not nearly enough for $4.99. Ill try in NYC this week and update if Im wrong.
