School bus tracking application with parents notifications
The mobile application optimizes the process of bringing students to school by allowing parents to track the school bus and receive notifications once the bus approaches their home. The application helps the drivers collect the students at the minimum distance from their houses and sends notifications once the student is safely in school.

The system consists of a platform and a mobile application. The mobile application allows parents to receive notifications once the bus approaches their home. It allows parents to track the bus in the map in real time if the student is delayed and wants to catch the bus. Student safety is improved as the system allows to detect and identify the students presence on the bus through a Bluetooth sensor which they carry and which is read by the bus driver mobile application. The control panel allows the school administrators to optimize the process of distributing students among buses to be collected at the minimum distance from their houses.
*GPS services are used constantly in background only while school bus is on the route and are turned off once the bus is reached destination.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
