Over There offers you a new way of sharing your location with every mobile phone in the world. You don’t even need an internet connection. It only requires a GPS signal and cellular coverage. This works completely offline, therefore the app wont send your location to any server.
But how does it work?
We use a smart algorithm that allows us to convert your location to a really small link like "www.ovt.re/UlMVQgtg_0wg".
This link can be sent as a text message to any mobile phone around the globe. The algorithms are designed to completely run offline and the link uses a space of only 23 characters. Thus, this leaves enough space to add some additional text, like holiday greetings for example.
Over There also provides a great web-service for the recipient on mobile devices. Every smartphone owner can use this link to easily look up your location using Google Maps.
Another advantage is that if you want to share your location via Facebook, WhatsApp etc., you dont have to allow them location permissions anymore - just use the In-App dialog. Over There 2 will not collect any kind of data.
Finally, all this comes alive on a visually stunning user interface. It provides you with detailed GPS information, including altitude and speed.

Je suis daccord sur la version française même si je peux men passer. Je me demande ou sont les futures fonctionnalités promises depuis 2012... Laltimètre a pour moi aussi un ecart de 10m environ avec dautres appareils que jai déjà. Sinon jaime bien ce concept dappli en trousse à outils.

Die Höhenangaben und die Geschwindigkeit werden richtig und zuverlässig angezeigt, was auch die Funktion ist, die ich mir erhofft habe. Super ist auch das einfache Versenden des Standortes und das aufgeräumte Interface. Schön wäre allerdings noch, wenn die App fürs iPhone 5 optimiert wird. Wer eine App sucht, die die GPS Informationen ausliest, macht mit Over There für 0,79€ alles richtig! Klare Kaufempfehlung :)

Die App wurde sehr gelobt; aber sie ist tatsächlich _noch_ besser als gedacht! Endlich eine schöne Geschwindigkeitsanzeige, kombiniert mit Höhenmesser und GPS-Accurecy... Sehr gut, wirklich! Nach der Einführungsphase, solltet Ihr auf jeden Fall 0,89 Euro dafür nehmen!!
