Phillybus rapidly displays real-time location information about SEPTA buses and trolleys operating above-ground.

Vehicle locations are obtained every 3 minutes. If a vehicles signal is obstructed (for example, its in a tunnel or blocked by a building), a polling can be missed. This is a limitation of the hardware on the buses, not in the app.

This app requires a network connection and relies on a data feed provided by SEPTA. This feed is generally reliable, but sometimes goes down.

Much needed! Very good app

Philly iPhone residents have been needing an app like this and it is executed perfectly! Highly recommend it!

Its OK, needs to list more stops!

I appreciate the effort and its better than the transitview function on Septas website but for several bus routes (e.g., route 44 and 65) many stops arent listed, including the terminus for the 44 in Ardmore. Id also prefer listing routes by destination (e.g., 44 to 8th & Market) as the buss sign does when you get on rather than northbound or southbound.

Awesome!

A similar app for the green lines would cover all my transit needs.

Definitely under development

Update: appears to be working again Oh well. It was good for a week. Seems to have stopped working. Displays no buses.

Works again.

Yay!

Works, but needs timing

Needs time of last update (available on Septas transitview) to be truly useful.

Not impressed

Times never seem to be consistent, some stops not listed, very slow to refreshed . Save your money and just use google maps
