Quick read, really informative

This is a great little trade magazine. I can sit down an read it in under an hour, and I always come away feeling inspired.

Cape Cod Piano Teacher

This is an amazing resource for todays piano teachers. For those of us who are integrating technology into our traditional studios, PBM offers tips on everything from the latest apps and publications to practical advice from tech savvy colleagues.

Very relevant and helpful

The Piano Bench magazine is one of the most relevant and helpful magazines for today’s teacher. It is full of great articles that apply to the average student. This is really important to me. The layout is good, color is fun and it is easy to read. Kudos to Karen Gibson for creating a terrific resource for piano teachers!

Teachers Helper!

The Piano Bench Mag brings creativity, innovation, and practicality to your fingertips. Its a great way to stay current with new techniques, apps, and tips about how to run your piano studio smoothly. Im always impressed with the content that comes out each month!

My opinion

Why is the app free but you need to pay for everything? I downloaded it because I thought it could help me but not if I have to spend $3 for every magazine to teach myself. Im not stashing iTunes cards just to get stuff like that. I cant even get a free sample to see if I can understand what its getting at. I dont like the app. It costs money when the app itself is free. I get that you would try to make money with it but seriously, you should put in free samples and make the first two people get free so if they continue reading by getting the second one, they may continue using the app. Just saying. Thats just my opinion and the advice I think you should take in to make the app better.

Not just a magazine

As a longtime music educator of 41 years, Ive seen and read a number of periodicals aimed at music professionals, including piano teachers. Many of them were just too dry and full of professional jargon for easy reading. The Piano Bench Mag gives you relevant information in a new, updated format that is not only east to read, but also easy to explore, using hyperlinks for additional resources right there in the digital format. These issues wont be laying around, cluttering up your home or office. Instead, you will find yourself returning to a topical issue again and again, delving deeper into the resources included. Founder and publisher, Karen Gibson, keeps her finger on the pulse of the piano teaching community to determine and choose subjects that are relevant and timely for the piano teaching professional. Various contributors offer their own expertise and insights in the different topics and subjects covered. The Piano Bench Mag is one periodical that you will want to save and use again and again. Thankfully, being published in a digital format makes that easy to do. I highly recommend this magazine to any music educator, especially those who teach piano.
