This application is designed to feature the launch of our new product: Premium SW. Premium SW is the last grade in the Solvay silica market.
What is silica?
There are different types of silica, the one manufactured at Solvay and especially at Solvay Silica is Synthetic Amorphous Silica;
Synthetic Amorphous Silica obtained by precipitation in water is non-crystalline silica. Amorphous silica is also found in nature in numerous plants and is an integral part of the “skeleton” of such grasses as cereal crops (corn, rice, wheat, barley, etc.), as well as sugar cane, prairie grasses, turf grasses, etc.
What is Premium SW?
Premium SW is our latest innovation and was developed in 5 years in response to the market. With a safety and performance focus, Premium SW reduces the rolling resistance up to 25%, thereby lowering fuel consumption and impact on the environment. With a wear enhanced up to 15%, Premium SW offers an improved handling and therefore a safer driving behavior.
As a last key benefits,and as a first in the global Truck Tire offer, Premium SW is the first silica to surpass Carbon Black capacity in Rolling-Resistance while tire durability remains the same.
