More time, worse maps than TapMap Quake

Seems like a first cut at a somewhat more technical access to USGS quake info than TapMap Quake. Relies on USGS global map for each single event for only map graphic-could at least add the regional map. Does give link into USGS page for each event, though USGS pages pretty ugly on an iPhone. Use of location to show how far away each event is better that TapMap. Could do more-could tint quakes by approximate estimate of Mercalli intensity that each might likely generate at the location, for instance. Could sort by distance, too. Would be nice to set a location other than current (like a relatives house in a quake prone area). An interactive map ala TapMaps (or better) would be nice complement to list view.. If you want to get fancy, calculating quake arrival time at location might prove useful for many (takes minutes for energy to travel thousand miles or so, for instance). Adding some flag for quakes generating a tsunami warning could be useful, too. (Aside from close in, tsunamis travel pretty slowly). Better than TapMap already in having more than 24 hours and in links into more detailed USGS pages on events. As with MapTap, not as helpful as it could be overseas (USGS threshold higher outside US). Hopefully will get better, but still a quick way to see what quakes have occurred recently.

Neat!

I like the map drilldown feature. Worth .99 to me. Thanks alot, my geology student son and I will have fun with this.

Works Great!

I especially like the distance from current location feature.

Awesome app for those who live in quake prone areas

Great app especially if you live in areas which are prone to earthquakes such as California. Developer was quick to update for iOS 4.

Very good app!!

Tells you what time it started and other stuff. Very nice!

Great app and update (4+ stars)

I find Quakeinfo a really well done app. It provides the info in a clean, clear easy to use manner. Glad I picked this one out of the many choices. *Updated* - The app just got a lot better with the option of showing all major earthquakes anywhere in the world in addition to the recent and nearby ones I choose to view with the apps filter. All the info I want, without the stuff I dont need!
