Description
QuiltPaper is a better graph paper for quilters because it actually drafts quilt layouts. Start with a grid. Tap to add borders, sashing, cornerstones, etc. Even better, place an inspiration image under a grid to use as a guide as you create a layout.
Three papers are included: Standard grid, Diagonal for on-point quilts, and Dots for free-form quilt planning. InApp purchases add 24 hard-to-find specialty papers, including an HST&HRT template.
DIY EPP Templates!
Many of the InApp purchase specialty papers are ideal for creating EPP templates. DIY templates are easy to make because QuiltPaper creates shapes at the exact size. Plus, it can mark a center hole to cut out for inserting a blunt stick for easier paper removal,. Once a template is ready, it can be printed and cut by hand or saved as a PDF or SVG for export to a cutting machine.
A Paint Tool for coloring with solids and textures is included. Play with color to plan a quilt. Maybe add an inspiration image to a graph paper before bringing it into Paint. Use the built-in color palettes or make custom pallets from images, live camera, color wheel or RGB or HSB codes.
NOTE — If you are looking for a quilt block library, you will not find it here. QuiltPaper app is for quilters who use a grid to plan and design a quilt. It is worth mentioning, however, that three in-app purchase papers — Pinwheel, Arc and Log Cabin — that use a Pattern Planner tool that offers a minimum level of block planning.
