My new favorite cooking app

This app is brilliant. I became a fan of Rachel Allen after seeing several episodes of her series "Rachels Favorite Foods at Home" on PBS. If you like Rachels down to earth personality and dazzlingly simple, delicious recipes, then you will love this app. It is expensive, but it works flawlessly, the recipes are fabulous and, best of all, Rachels warm personality shines through. A definite keeper!

If this was a book, I would return it immediately!!

I hate to be negative, but this app was a complete disappointment!! I am a sucker for beautiful photography and great graphics, and of course, I love to entertain. Rachel Allens app looked beautiful. But just like you wouldnt judge a book by its cover, dont judge this app by its pretty graphics. I dont know what most people expect from their apps, but I expect (especially for $6.99) a plethora of easy recipes that use simple ingredients that appeal to a busy family woman. I didnt feel like Rachel Allen did the trick. First, everything is in grams... since this app is sold in the US, they should easily show conversions... I didnt see any. Second, compared to other apps (Betty Crocker, Martha Stewart, etc.) which have hundreds of great recipes, Rachel Allen had relatively few. I felt like the ingredients were hard to find and her video tips were superfluous and at some points, ridiculous. I believe her tip for a Quesadilla was that it was like a mexican sandwich with two tortillas and a cheese in the middle... really? what a great tip... NOT! I have to admit that the photography and interface were stunning, however, when I download an app, I would hope that its more than just a pretty face. If you are looking for a lot great and easy recipes, this app may disappoint.

Great App

This app is really great! Step by step instructions and hands-free usage while following a recipe. Customize the app for UK or US and hear Rachel Allen providing guidance and tips as well with ratings for the recipes so you know if it is easy or more difficult. I am excited to try all the recipes!

Black screen

You down load the app the video does not play nor does the audio steps beware 4.99

OOOUUU, my BAD!!

Ive had this app for almost a year now and thought Id already posted my thoughts -- well, lets just say my positive feelings for this app is the reason I bought Hummingbird Bakery Cake Days and wrote, in part, "I have Rachel Allens app so I expected a certain level of quality and professionalism and Im happy to say I was not disappointed!!!". This is a MARVELOUS app!! The recipes range from great for entertaining, luv the "Pan-fried Mackerel with Panzanella Salad" to deliciously naughty desserts...careful, the "Chocolate Amaretti Cake" is addictive, oh and works well as a brunch item!!! Two features Id add: 1) a Save to Favorites folder and 2) full length prep of recipe videos! It would be great to bake and cook with Rachel!! Even with a couple of options missing, I recommend purchasing this app -- the videos are quality and very professionally done, the recipes vary from quick, quick, fast, fast to MOM, I NEED YOU:*), which is a GREAT thing because that means theres a dish for everyones taste and at recipes to prepare at every level of cooking skills!! Keep the GREAT recipes coming!!!!

Huh?

App worked great, for about a month. Is access time limited? Wont respond to touch, which renders it useless.
