Rafter Tools+ for iPhone-iPad is a rafter calculator for complex roof framing angles that other roof framing calculators dont offer. Calculating common rafters with a construction calculator is fairly easy, but to be a master carpenter you need more roof framing angle information then the construction calculators offers. With the Rafter Tools-Plus app, youll be able to calculate all of the complex angles for roof framing.
The calculator displays the hip rafter plumb line shift dimensions to precisely layout hip rafters for equal pitched or irregular hip roofs with any eave angle (0° - 180°). Calculate and layout the witches cut precisely with Rafter Tools-Plus (Square Tail Fascia) using the hip rafter plumb line shift dimensions.

Great Teaching Tool!!!
Hip roof systems are by no means easy and with all the helpful articles and drawings that are included in this app you will be cutting hips in no time! Screen shot of this program does no justice to how many angles and information is given. This app is extremely optimized for timber framing as you are able to change the dimensions of your hip and jack rafters, plus explains all the timber framing angles. If you ever plan on cutting a hip take the guess work out of it and by this app!!
