Festival Europa Cantat XVIII Torino 2012 - ready TO sing
La città di Torino è pronta ad ospitare la diciottesima edizione del più importante festival europeo dedicato alla musica corale. Il festival è un’avventura affascinante, che si svolge dal 1961 ogni tre anni in una città diversa, coinvolgendo persone di ogni età, realtà corali di tutti i tipi, direttori e compositori, ospiti di fama internazionale. Con l’edizione torinese per la prima volta Europa Cantat fa tappa in Italia. Dal 27 luglio al 5 agosto, il capoluogo piemontese sarà letteralmente invaso da una festa di voci, suoni, colori e lingue differenti. Anche i torinesi potranno farsi contagiare dall’entusiasmo e scoprire la magia di cantare in un grande coro. Il programma, che comprende più di 100 concerti ed eventi, dà spazio a tutti i generi musicali, dalla tradizione classica al pop, dal jazz al folk, dal gospel agli esperimenti di cross over. The city of Torino is ready to host the eighteenth edition of the most important festival in Europe dedicated to choral music. The festival is a fascinating adventure that takes place every three years since 1961 in a different city, involving people of all ages, all types of choirs, conductors and composers, internationally renowned guests. With the Torino edition for the first time Europa Cantat arrives in Italy. From 27th July to 5th August, the capital of Piemonte and the Region itself will be flooded by a party of voices, sounds, colours and different languages . Torino dwellers will also be invited to become enchanted with the enthusiasm and discover the magic of singing in a big choir. The programme, which includes more than 100 concerts and events, provides space for all kinds of music, from classical to pop, from jazz to folk, from gospel to crossover experiments.
