Host Jono Callow takes you back in time to discover what life was like in Ancient Rome. The app has been designed especially for 8-14 year olds - although we dare anyone across all ages not to find it fascinating.
If you were alive in Roman Times where would you live? What would you do for fun? Would you go to school? What would you eat? What sort of toilets existed back then?
All these questions and more are explored using the wonders of computer video graphics. Filmed on locations in Italy, France and Turkey, this app is a must for anyone interested in Roman history.
There are 8 topics, each with its own video segment - Housing, Family, Names, Food, Fun, School, Health, and Fashion.
For use in a classroom setting there are interactive “before” and “after” segments, with ideas for reflection, discussion and persuasive writing. These, combined with the nearly 25 minutes of video content, will keep kids busy for a good hour or more.
