Description
Questions are divided into three categories of skill: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
The beginner section covers basic sailing questions typical of the American Sailing Association standard (ASA 101).
The intermediate section covers information needed for basic coastal cruising aboard larger vessels 20 or greater in length. These questions help prepare sailors for the ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising Exam. This section covers more advanced sailing information including weather and navigation off shore, such as aids to navigation.
The advanced section covers information for bare boat chartering, including living aboard a boat and understanding a cruising yachts engine, galley, and other mechanical equipment. These questions help prepare sailors for the ASA 104 Bare Boat Chartering exam.
There is also a fourth section entitled additional skills which include important information about wind scales and hand signals.

Bug
Helpful, not perfect
App is certainly helpful in studying and still worth buying, but here are a few negatives: Example pictures are misleading, its all text (or I dont remember any images). It would be nice to take one test at a time (like ASA 101 only). 500 questions in one go is way too long of a testing feature to be useful. And it appears to grab from random categories so you effectively cant test in a particular section.
Excellent sailing tool
Im new to sailing so this app was a great way for me to hone my knowledge and prepare me for getting my certifications. Very well done and professional presentation of the info!
Very helpful but flawed
The quiz is extremely helpful in identifying area of strength and, more important, weakness. The one major problem is that the App crashes nearly to the end of the second section. When this is repaired, it will be a dynamite App for every sailor.
Not bad
Crashes half way through the quiz. Also, the test should be able to be taken in one of the 3 categories. 500 questions is to long.
Good but....
Good learning app but crashes toward the end of the exam section which is very frustrating. Also exam is too long - should be broken down between ASA 101/3 & 4
Sailing Quiz
Excellent review of sailing essentials. Useful for rapid review prior to takin ASA exams. Many notes provide further insight into boating scenarios to improve your skills on the water.
