Have you ever wanted to play games in your car or while walking? Now you can!
Do you think it would be cool to play games and do things with only your voice? Me too :)
Do you want something interactive to do while you walk, exercise, or drive? Youre in luck!
Speakway has been created to bring tremendous new value to the hours you spend walking or driving in a way youve never been able to before. How does it do that? When youve got a lot of unused time on your hands. Instead of looking back and forth to your phone (unsafe + deadly), or down at your hands, you use your voice to interact.
This a voice first application. There is an optional interface you can use when youre not driving. Unlike in-home "smart speakers" like Amazon Alexa, we do not send everything you say to the cloud to be analyzed. All of the speech recognition is performed locally in-app. Our objective isnt to bring you a fun shopping experience, its to improve a huge chunk of time in your life.
Why did I make Speakway? With a Boston commute, I spend a *lot* of time in traffic. For me, its something like 4-5 hours per day, a thousand hours or more every year. Aside from enjoying podcasts and audiobooks, I didnt really have any other options, especially not things that were interactive. So I decided that I HAVE TO to build it.

Seriously. After you open up the app, just talk to it, and it will talk to you. For example, after it asks "What would you like to do?", say Adventure, and you will be in the Adventure experience. Dont like something? Say Send Feedback and you can yell at me directly from the app.
I call the sections inside Speakway Experiences, and there are many slated to be created. Some are pure gaming, some are for productivity, some are for socializing.
I am launching the app with an experience called Adventure, an RPG style audio adventure with a fun daily dungeon for your hack n slash delights. It also has an Instant Combat arena, and story modules authored by some creative people.
The Adventure experience is kind of a "Rogue-Like". You dont save between sessions and start each one from scratch. You do get to keep the gold you find! Each Dungeon of the Day is randomly generated and features a boss room with something nasty. And his buddies.
And if you like to (or want to) walk to get healthy, Speakway is ideal for you. I found myself walking an extra 15-20 minutes so I could spend more time playing Adventure. I hope you enjoy it. Many more Experiences are in the works now.
