An easy way to practice equation-solving! Start Algebra sets you equations to solve and takes you through them step by step. Students can see how to solve an equation and learn at their own pace.
The free version has simple equations of the form ax+b=c, and shows you how to solve them first by calculating the value of ax, and then x. Answers are always whole numbers, but may be negative or zero!
The full version, available by in-app purchase, adds other types of equation, with brackets and square roots, and also has a greater range of numbers to make the calculation a little tougher.
Recommended for school students learning algebra for the first time.
