AMEC developed Sustain to help people incorporate sustainability into their everyday decisions at work and at home. Weve taken our specialist knowledge from large projects in natural resources and engineering and shrunk it all down to make it useful for people to use every day.
Sustain doesnt try to tell you what to think, but provides a decision making structure using information that you provide to help you make decisions based on the values that are important to you.
Recent studies have shown that buyers of green products insist on those products having similar functionality to regular products while being more environmentally and socially responsible. To ensure that you are making practical decisions that meet these criteria, Sustain uses a four dimensional sustainability approach based on the traditional triple-bottom line with an extra performance dimension added.
Sustain lets you choose the decision-making inputs that are important to you. When using the app, think about which of your views and values are the strongest and where you want to have the biggest impact.
