Timewire is the app that takes all the boring, tedious and error-prone work out of time tracking, and instead makes it simple and easy.
It allows you to easily carry out the complete time tracking and time reporting workflow from your iPhone. All you have to do is create your activities and start/stop the timer whenever you switch between tasks - Timewire does all the rest.
Timewire is ideal for professionals and organizations that bill customers by the hour, such as consultants, freelancers or lawyers, and for employees who are required to submit time sheets to their employer at the end of every week or month. But its also perfect if you just want to gain more insight into how you spend your time, professionally or personally.
Here are some of the things you can do with Timewire:
- Create any number of activities to track time on
- Categorize your activities as clients, projects, tasks, chores, hobbies, etc.
- Start/stop timers to track time on your activities
- Run multiple timers simultaneously
- Add free-form tags to time blocks for easier follow-up and reporting
- Get notifications if you forgot to stop a timer
- Summarize tracked time per activity over a selectable range of days into a time report
- Export time reports as PDF documents or print them via AirPrint
- Customize your time reports (include/exclude activities, set date range, show/hide empty activities etc.)
- Organize your activities into a tree and roll up time tracked on lower-level activities to higher-level activities
- Measure your progress against fully configurable time tracking targets
- Get notifications when your targets are reached
- View full history of tracked time
- Manually add or edit time blocks in the history View
- Organize your recent activities into groups for faster switching
- Start/stop timers from home screen quick actions (using 3D touch)
Above all, Timewire is a tool that puts you in total control. You do not have to sign up for any online accounts, or log in to use the app. In fact, Timewire doesnt ever require an Internet connection as all your data is stored on your device. You can of course optionally back up your data to a cloud storage provider of your choice, if and when you desire.
Timewire was built by a consulting company with more than 15 years of consulting and contracting experience in the software development industry. We have been using and continuously refining a desktop version of Timewire for all our consulting time tracking and invoicing for over 8 years. We thought it was about time we brought it to the mobile device, and made this tool available also to the rest of the world.
