Okay, but...
The App does what it should. The problem is that it doesnt contain JR Lines and a Yokohama or Chiba railmap. Thats why the benefit is limited.

Best App for Tokyo Tourists
Best App for Tokyos Metro Subways and Toei Subways. This was one of the two Apps I have used, when I visited Tokyo in dec 14 for six days. This app works offline, the suggested routes are good, the calculated price for the route is correct, and the estimated time for your routes are quite possible, maybe not if you use Tokyos subways the first time of your life, hehe. Doesnt work with Japan Rail. I recommend the the 3-day-passes of the Metro and the Toei Lines, the Tickets are specially offered to Tourists, and they are cheaper than other passes.
Sehr schlicht und fast perfekt
In unseren Urlaub hat sich diese App sehr bewährt, weil sie im Gegensatz zu vielen älteren Offline-Apps Stadionsnamen in den praktischen Abkürzung-Stadionsnamen wie E12, E13, E14 usw. anzeigt - genauso so wie auch die Wegweiser die man in den U-Bahnhöfen vorfindet und man dann schnell und einfach umsteigen bzw. aussteigen kann. Ebenso toll ist dass die Metro-Karte interaktiv zum auswählen der Stationen genutzt werden kann. Die grafische Anzeige mit pulsierenden Kreise ist iOS-typisch gut gelöst. Zwei kleine Schwächen gibt es - wobei ich vermute, dass diese unter Abwägung der Vor- und Nachteile man sich so entschieden hat: (1) Es gibt keine Favoriten-Auswahl (der Weg über die interaktive Metro-Karte ist aber fast genau so schnell) und (2) erfolgt die Abfrage der Auskunft immer online. Ich hatte mir ursprünglich daher noch diverse offline-Auskunf-Aapps ausprobiert, aber nach dem ich feststellen musste, dass man in Japan 1 GB für 30 Tage als Prepaid-SIM-Karte fürs iPad für preiswerte 1000 Yen gibt und man sowieso in Japan vieles spontan umplant brauchte ich die Online-Recherche-Möglichkeit sowieso.
Vollständige Karte
Vorsicht, auf vielen Karten fehlen zu viele privat betriebene Strecken. Mit dieser App deckt man hinreichend viel ab.
