Using the free ShelfServer from www.iphonetomes.com, e-books with pictures and clickable links are transferred from your Mac, Windows, or Linux computer over WiFi. Books are automatically compressed and optimized for best display. Even large, multi-megabyte e-text files open and display in seconds.
Reading in Airplane Mode is no problem. No Internet connection is required once books are transferred.
Important Information on PalmOS Format Support:
Supported Palm etext formats currently include Plucker, PalmDoc (Aportis), and many non-DRM (non-encrypted) Mobi files. Most purchased Mobi files including those from mobipocket.com or Kindle will NOT work. Anything which required a "PID" or "reader ID" at time of purchase will not work. Notably, purchased Mobi files from Webscription.net and the Baen Free Library DO work fine. Support for the newer "HuffDict" compression format in Mobi files is limited. Many HuffDict files work fine, but some display with visible HTML tags and other artifacts. Other PDB and PRC file types including iSilo and eReader are NOT supported at this time.

Not perfect yet
I believe bookshelf is for now the best ereader on iPhone/iPod touch, but alas, it is far from bug free. My biggest concern is that the app breaks the text into manageable chunks (this is good), but when scrolling from the end of a chunk to the next one, youll find yourself in the middle of the next chunk instead of at the start. The server application, which is needed to upload your ebooks, could also do with some refinements. Nevertheless, the app shows great potential, and with a bit of work and some additional formats (lrf? pdf?), this could become a must.

Vraiement nul, une application qui ne fonctionnent pas du tout. Impossible douvrir PDF, ou de lire les ebooks
Bonne application quand on a déjà une e-bibliothèque
Avantages : meilleure compatibilité avec différents formats (notamment .pdb) que Stanza ; possibilité de défilement automatique du texte ; rapidité relative ; facilité de chargement des ebooks sur liphone depuis son ordinateur. Inconvénients : pas moyen de savoir où on est rendu dans un document, pas de mode paysage. Verdict : encore le meilleur lecteur, bien que payant, disponible actuellement.
Best reader on any platform
Ive searched for a good reading tool for years on ppc and mobiles. This one has all the features I was waiting for. Autoprogress, easy to upload books, landscape reading. Best app available!
Mise à jour SVP
Apparemment, cette app ne fonctionne plus depuis la 3.0? Je ne parviens plus à me connecter à mon serveur desktop, et donc je ne peux plus importer de livres dans mon iPhone... comme je lavais fait auparavant. :-( Merci de faire une mise à jour!
