However, an app that instantly populates the name of the reader in the text of scriptures, personalizing the relevant passages makes Bible-reading come alive, enhancing the devotional and faith-building experience of the readers.
Also, many Christians are taught to speak out the word of God over themselves either to assist in memorization and meditation or to strengthen their faith. ToYouBible makes this easy by because the passages are already in the name of the reader. Here are some examples:
John 15:15
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
Becomes:
No longer do I call Alisha Smith a servant, for a servant doesnt know what her lord does. But I have called Alisha Smith a friend, for everything that I heard from My Father, I have made known to Alisha Smith.
Rom. 3:24 becomes
"Gregory is justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."
Ephesians 1:4 reads as:
"Even as He chose Amanda in Him before the foundation of the world, that Amanda would be holy and without blemish before Him in love."
And John 15:16 becomes:
"Brian didnt choose Me, but I chose Brian, and appointed him, that he should go and bear fruit, and that his fruit should remain; that whatever Brian will ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to him."

App works flawlessly now thanks to the awesome support from the to you bible team. In addition did you know you can add your last name to the personalization by going to setting and turning the add last name toggle switch on and saving. God bless to you bible for creating this great App!

Buggy Garbage!
From the personalization screen to the bible, bugs, bugs, bugs. Besides the bugs, I cannot believe that anyone would find this app useful at all. It has nothing to offer compared to all the other bible apps for free and the same price. It also only works in portrait mode. One of the lovely features is it locks up and after I manage to get out of it, other apps wont work right. Reboot time. iPad Air 2, iOS 8.
I would not purchase
This app does not work right at all. It took 20+mins to download and then locked up my iphone 6 several times before I deleted it after phone got extremely hot. There is something very wrong with it. Extremely disappointed. Also it would not download to my ipad which I am now extremely grateful for.
