International illustrated journal "Turist" covers broad range of topics in sports, extreme and health tourism, educational excursions and exotic travel. Bi-monthly, in Russian. Published since 1929. The journal highlights many travel possibilities ranging from walking architecture, history and nature tours to complex sports expeditions and mountain climbing. The journal publishes trip notes and advices, articles, reader letters, poems and songs. Among Turist authors are prominent sportsmen, scientists, artists, educators and all those with wandering spirit in heart.Turist is founded by Russias "Central Council for Tourism and Recreation," currently published by non-profit organization "Tourist publishing house".
