Description
When using a total station; in order to accurately reduce polar observations to Cartesian coordinates or correctly calculate a resection position it is essential to use the correct local scale factor for the surveyor’s position on the planet.
With this app you can get the local scale factor for any position in the UK at the press of a button.
App Features:
Calculate the Local Scale Factor of a location within the UK from WGS84 Latitude Longitude, OSGB36 Easting Northing, UK Postcode or current position.
Convert between WGS84 Latitude Longitude, OSGB36 Easting Northing and UK Postcode (Where applicable).
Retrieve the local scale factor, geodetic and Cartesian coordinates, and Postcode of your current position with a single button tap. (Please note the accuracy of the location returned is dependent on the accuracy of the GPS hardware used by the mobile device and the location/weather. A indicator of the accuracy of the position will be displayed at the top of the screen for reference.)
