Description
Under the Radar is obsessed with music. We’re dedicated to breaking new bands and checking-in with our favorite established artists through our in-depth articles and eye-catching original photography. Each issue also contains a ridiculous number of reviews—all the better to help you find your new favorite album, film, TV show, book, comic book, or video game. Every issue also includes a free downloadable digital sampler featuring up to 33 songs.
Under the Radar has been printing since 2001 and was an early supporter of such artists as Fleet Foxes, Vampire Weekend, Rilo Kiley, Death Cab for Cutie, Tegan and Sara, Bright Eyes, The Postal Service, The Shins, Interpol, Deerhunter, Grizzly Bear, among many others, and still continues to break new artists with each issue. Most issues also features an interview with a notable actor or director from film or TV.
Cover artists have included MGMT, Phoenix, Charli XCX, Grimes, Animal Collective, St. Vincent, The Horrors, M83, Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear + Dirty Projectors + Twin Shadow, Aziz Ansari, The National, R.E.M., Sufjan Stevens, Jarvis Cocker, Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold + Joanna Newsom, She & Him, Bat For Lashes, Modest Mouse, Flight of the Conchords, Feist, Belle and Sebastian, The Flaming Lips, and Elliott Smith (in his final interview).

Not ready for primetime
It doesn’t work
Trying to open an issue crashes the app. iPad 3rd generation running latest version of iOS 8.
Does not work
Wont download any issues.
Cant log in
It wants me to log on to download issues but Apple ID doesnt work. Under The Radar logon doesnt work. Useless.
Great Mag
You know its good if all your bands are reviewed.
App crashes constantly. Does not work
I cannot open any of the magazines I have paid for on the iPhone 6. Each time I try, the app crashes. It lets you see the cover and even pay for the magazine but not view it once youve paid for it.
Lousy App
Why such a solid magazine has such an unusable and lousy app is beyond me. Either fix it or ditch it because we at High Voltage Magazine are coming for your digital market.
