Description
Vedic birthday calculates your birthday based on the Vedic (lunisolar) calendar which was has been in continual usage for thousands of years long predating the Gregorian calendar currently in use (since 1582).
The key difference is the calendar is based on the position of the planets and stars (sidereal), this reflects the astronomical quality of the time rather.
In the Vedic calendar:
The day begins at sunrise.
The month begins at new moon.
The year begins with the sun’s entry into Aries (the 1st sign of the zodiac).
The Vedic literature is replete with references to this calendar and still today the major festivals and the birthdays of saints and sages are occurring annually based on this calendar.
With this tool we allow anyone to enter their date, time and place of birth and to see and be reminded of their Vedic birthday.
