It would be great if you could add the ability to enter progressive amounts. Other than that, awesome app! Great for practicing. Give you variety of poker to choose and shows you hand EV, so you can see the best choice.

For the serious video poker player this is a must. Definitely worth the money.

There is so much thought in this game. On the surface it is so much fun to play, but more important is the information provided with each hand is a great learning tool for actual Video Poker games. I am learning so much that i am sure will pay off on my next trip to Vegas. I had always thought the slots were very low paying games but now I know how to find the right machines and play with better winning stategy

This is really a good app for learning how to play video poker more effectively. I recently bought the program and within a week or so I found myself playing the app at a high rate of correctness. Then, a trip to Vegas put it to the test. Though I cant say I won more, I believe I played longer because some of the adjustments the app had me make seemed to work effectively. In the end, I think, thats the point...play longer, correctly, and minimize unforced errors and the chances of hitting that big win increase. In fact, I know playing Deuces Wild, I finally had a strategy that allowed me to play much, much longer and better than I ever had before. Only long trials over time will tell, but I do believe my play was better and longer lasting as a result of training, even only briefly, with this app. Considering the possible payoff and price of the app, $9.99 feels like a fair trade for the info and training Ive gotten already. That said, Id like to see full pay schedules to help me better train on the games I play. Though I go to Vegas several times a year, the names of games are so similar that I cant be sure Im training on the game I want to train on. A full screen shot, or simple re-creation of the pay tables across all five coin-in options would be most helpful (Im a visual learner). Id also like to see a least a bit of explanation on the rationale behind some of the plays (why am I holding these cards, this way), that might also help me remember perfect play. With these improvements Id gladly give the app 5 stars. But for now, four stars and my compliments. I know the developer is an actuary and knowledgeable gambling consultant who has a podcast I listen to each week so Im convinced apps by others with some kind of obtuse system would only be a waste of my money. To me, this app is an investment Ill regain over and over again in time. Nice job!

An additional tool to the growing list of Video Poker Apps. Well written, however is lacking one main feature -- multiplay! Toggling between screens, playtable or stats is a unique feature! I admire the wizard immensely, but would recommend buying Winpoker first, especially as a primary tool.

Very basic VP trainer. The author is well respected in the VP community, so I was hoping for a more true-to-life experience. While this does teach you the strategy for all the games, the graphics let me down. This app uses its own card designs, and the displays dont look like The displays at the casinos. It doesnt tell you what hand youve made. Also, you cant change denominations of play, you get 1000 coins, but cant switch to dollars.

This is exactly what Ive been looking for! The Wizard of Odds website is priceless. And Ive been looking for a VP app that would be able to train me by playing and show me exactly when I am not keeping the best cards. If you are serious about playing VP in a casino, this app is worth every penny. One single mistake when youre playing for money in a casino could be worth the entire purchase price, even if youre just playing quarters. Just think: one full-house, and you paid for this. Every combination of cards to hold is shown with expected returns. You can play so many different versions of VP. AND just as importantly you can play with many different pay tables! Ill say it again. If yo are going to play in a casino... For real money... You need this app.
