Music makes the ball field come to life but until now being the ballpark DJ wasn’t easy.

Walkout Song DJ is here to make it simple to have every field filled with that pump-up music every athlete loves and needs for those big games.

Walkout song DJ makes the difficult task of playing a walkout song for each individual batter as easy as tapping a button. Simply enter the player name and number then select a song from your iTunes library. The precise segment from that walkout song can then be set by selecting a position and playback duration using a simple and precise editing view. To assure that the songs are not blending into the background or splitting the ears of your fans, a volume level for each individual walkout song can also be set. Press the play button and 11 seconds later you have one pumped-up batter, and a song that smoothly fades as the batter steps up to the plate.

The game doesn’t stop between innings so why should the music? Walkout Song DJ has a view dedicated to inning break songs. Just as before, select a song from your iTunes library and set a position and duration. Since inning breaks are usually two minutes long and most songs are over three minutes, Walkout Song DJ can automatically fade the song out before the start of play. That allows the human DJ to take a break or get a hot dog, and not have to worry about the music interrupting the game.

There is also one-touch access to a situational music view. These are the songs that add character to the game, such as your national anthem, Take Me Out to the Ball Game, Jeopardy Theme Song, your team fight song and anything else that fits!

For pre-game music, there is a pre-game view that allows you to select a group of songs from your library and arrange them in a simple playlist to play without interruption and help the athletes get “in the zone” during warm ups.

If you happen to be a dedicated ballpark DJ and have multiple teams to DJ, don’t sweat it. Walk-Out Song DJ makes it possible to create and save song pages for multiple teams.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the game while playing the all-important music by barely lifting a finger.

Please Note: The app is currently unable to use the Apple Music Streaming service as a source for walkout music. The Apple Music interfaces provided by Apple for third party developer usage do not yet allow the independent control of the player volume required for fading and mixing of sources and voice recordings. The app can use any purchased songs in your iTunes library and imported song files in mp3 or m4a audio format.

Keep working on this- it can be great

Finally! Somebody has come out with an APP for this sort of thing. Right now it is a little "BUGGY". I have had to restart my iPad (which is a newer model) multiple times when importing songs because the app becomes unresponsive. Love the idea that it will announce players. Wish you could choose an option to have player announced first and then it would cue their audio clip. Also wish there were some appropriate sound effects that it came with. Lastly, a way to import audio clips from YouTube, especially for movie clips! Thanks for coming out with this- its just a few steps away from being truly great!

Just what we needed

This app was perfect for my sons team. They were all able to select the songs they wanted to use for their walk outs and we easily purchased them from Itunes and added them into the app. Its extremely easy to use during games. Great purchase!

Idea is good, execution not so much

The interface is difficult, icons small and occasionally not responsive. Some strange problems adding songs from my library. After repeatedly trying and fighting with the app I got everything done and ready for the game, but it took a very long time. This is one of the most expensive apps Ive bought so I was surprised to see how much more work it needed. Not really any other options, so you just have to deal with it I guess.

Great app

This is a great app. I use it for everything from our Mosquito Division up to our local college level team. Easy to use and adds a really nice touch to all our home games. I recommend it for any minor baseball association.

Pretty good

Many features and tools to tweak exactly what part of the song you want. Sometimes my phone crashes when programming songs, though. Id love to see a functionality where song clips and lineups could be shared between teammates phones

Good but really no alternative

Serves its purpose but the interface is very difficult to work with. My favorite feature is that it greys out the songs you already played during inning breaks. The drawback is that you have to manually add every song from your library rather than it being integrated with it. Theres nothing else out there like it so it is good enough until something professional launches.

Only works for a small number of songs.

Would be useful if I could load more than 20-30 songs. Any more than this and it crashes. Makes the app worthless.
