The depth or zoom level is total guess work spent a good few mins downloading zoom level 11 only to find out it was not detailed enough needs a depth zoom indicator also would be good to be able to see area you downloaded at a glance rather than trying to zoom into to it from world map bit messy

World Maps Offline lets you select map areas and save them to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad for browsing without an internet connection.
Its really simple, just zoom into an area anywhere in the world, double-tap to select exactly what areas to download, choose the depth (maximum zoom) and start the download process. Then, when you are abroad or without an internet connection, you can just launch the app and browse the maps you downloaded.
YOU choose what areas to download and how much you need to zoom in and theres NO in-app purchase like with some other apps.
We wanted to make offline maps simple and easily available and this is as simple and easy as it gets.
Theres no need to create an account or register, we dont collect any personal information either.

Need more
It does all it says, but it isnt enough, no street search, takes a lot of space for a little part in the map, takes forever to download. Need to have its own data base that you can download

Needs a little work but its by far the best offline map out there.
Unhappy in Maryland
This only shows the hotel with none of the sites around it. Does show the streets
clear and simple to use
Good app that does what it promises. It would be useful to have the possibility to selectively remove maps (now you can only clear everything). I hope theyll add this extra feature in the next versions, then itll be really a great app.
Exactly what I need but I cant make it work.
I really, really want to be able to use this, but so far I cant get anywhere with this app. Trying really hard but it doesnt seem to be useable yet.
Works as described
This app is exactly what I was looking for. A way to store map tiles at different resolutions on my device.
